(KNSI) – The next young Vincent van Gogh or Salvador Dalí could have their art on display in Washington D.C.

Registration for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students. Submissions can include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media and photography. They can be crafted using oil, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, pencils, charcoal, and ink. All creations, including the frames, can be up to 26″ x 26″, up to 4″ in depth, and must weigh less than 15 pounds. Only original two-dimensional art is accepted.

Last year’s winner in the Congressional Sixth District, represented by Republican Majority Whip Tom Emmer, was Lydia Holmgren from Sartell for her stunning pencil drawing of her great-grandmother, Pearl.

The deadline to submit artwork is April 23rd. For complete rules, click here.
