(KNSI) – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the area Saturday.
Forecasters say sustained winds are expected to be between 25 and 35 miles an hour with potential gusts up to 55 miles an hour at times. It’s all part of a powerful spring storm system that is expected to sweep across the area later tonight and through the day tomorrow. Severe thunderstorms, snow, and blizzard conditions are expected. Blizzard warnings are posted as close as Pope County.
The advisory is in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The trash can meter is a three, with a chance for unsecured objects to end up in the neighbor’s yard.
