(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol says two people were killed in a crash near Cold Spring Monday afternoon.
According to the preliminary crash report, 52-year-old James Wilton of Fairchild, Wisconsin was driving east in the westbound lanes of Highway 23 near milepost 189 just after 5:00 when it hit a 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan head on.
Thirty-five-year-old Greg Steil of Richmond was behind the wheel of that SUV.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
