(KNSI) – Several farms in the St. Cloud area are being recognized as Century Farms by the Minnesota Farm Bureau and the Minnesota State Fair.
The title signifies that a farm 50 acres or larger has had 100 or more years of continuous family ownership. Farm Bureau and the Minnesota State Fair is bestowing the title on 124 farms in 2021.
The farms get a commemorative sign to display.
Century Farms in the area include:
- Mendel Farm near Sauk Rapids, Benton County (1915)
- Schwientek Farm near Little Falls, Morrison County (1920)
- Boser Dairy Farm near Pierz, Morrison (1919)
- The farm of Robert and Loreli Yurczyk near Avon, Stearns County (1920)
- Sogge’s Bearhollow Farm near Eden Valley, Stearns (1894)
- Donnay Farm near Kimball, Stearns (1920)
- Sundermann Farm near Melrose, Stearns (1893)
- The farm of Robert and Carol Heitke near Paynesville, Stearns (1921)
- The farm of Urban and Mary Kay Warnert near St. Joseph, Stearns (1914)
- Holland Family Farm near Buffalo, Wright County (1914)
- Stoll-Marketon Farm near Howard Lake, Wright (1919)
