(KNSI) — An investigation is underway after a 23-year-old woman was found unresponsive in her cell at the Sherburne County Jail.
Staff discovered Tyrah Shawnice Davis Tuesday morning and began lifesaving measures immediately, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Davis was from Little Canada, but was reportedly being held in Sherburne County on unspecified federal charges.
The Midwest Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause and manner of her death. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating.
