(KNSI) – This Sunday’s Barneløpet Kids’ Nordic Ski Fest at Riverside Park in St. Cloud is canceled.
The high temperature is now forecast for a frigid six-below, and winds will be sustained out of the northwest at 10 miles per hour. Organizers say the extreme weather threatens the safety of participants, spectators, and volunteers.
No potential makeup date was given. The Barneløpet features a variety of short races for children ages three to 13.
