(KNSI) – A St. Cloud State University graduate is up for a big award for her short story.
Brianna Condon’s piece of fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, a highly competitive literary honor. She authored an under-700-word fiction piece titled “Week Twenty-Nine,” published in the anthology “Tales from the Kitchen” earlier this month.
Condon graduated in December with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies.
The prestigious Pushcart Prize honors the best of the small press, otherwise known as indie publishers. It’s a widely read and respected literary project. Thousands of writers of short stories, poetry and essays have been awarded since 1976.
The Pushcart Prize winners will be announced later in 2025.
