(KNSI) – Two people are dead following a crash on Interstate 94 on Saturday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol’s preliminary report, 42-year-old Sarah Thorine Jones was driving a Toyota Prius east just after 2:30 p.m. when she rear-ended an International straight truck at mile marker 145 in Albany Township. Her passenger was 15-year-old Kale Teklah Olson. Neither Jones nor Olson were wearing a seatbelt. They both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man was behind the wheel of the truck. He was uninjured.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Albany Police and Fire Departments, and Melrose Ambulance assisted the state patrol at the scene.
