(KNSI) – Organizers of the 12th Annual Shop Small Crawl: A Celebration of Local Community says the spirit of small businesses, local entrepreneurs, and artists will be highlighted.

Shop Small Saturday takes center stage in St. Joseph on November 30th. Shoppers have a chance to win a gift basket filled with goodies from all participating artists and businesses and can grab a Shop Small Crawl punchcard. Fill it out by going to any participating business and getting a punch. Then, fill out the information and turn in the card for a chance to win.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Shopping downtown St. Cloud this weekend could also put some extra holiday cheer in your wallet this year. The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce is calling it Small Business Season. From now through December 20th, they are encouraging residents to support area businesses by sharing a photo of themselves shopping on social media. Those who participate can enter to win a $50 gift card to any Chamber member business.

To have a chance at the prize, take a photo of your experience shopping or using a local service or business. Then, share on social media with #ShopSmallSTC and tag the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce.

The winner will be chosen and announced on December 20th.

Small Business Saturday was first observed in 2010 as a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big-box retail and e-commerce stores. Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to shop at brick-and-mortar businesses that are small and local.
