(KNSI) – Work on a St. Cloud Bridge is expected to cause delays for drivers following the holiday weekend.
Starting Monday, lane shifts will be modified as bridge work switches from the bridge’s south side to the north side. At times traffic will be reduced to a single lane for both directions. The public works department says the changes have the potential to cause major traffic snarls. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route if possible.
Sidewalks and bicycles could also be closed during the work. The project is expected to wrap up in late December, weather permitting.
The work is part of repaving University Drive from Roosevelt Road near Coborn’s to 15th Street Southeast near Talahi Elementary.
