(KNSI) — A police officer is recovering after a crash on Highway 23 in Waite Park Monday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol’s preliminary report, just before 3:00, a 45-year-old woman in a Dodge Ram pickup truck and the 43-year-old officer in his cruiser were both going west on 23 when they crashed at 28th Avenue South. The officer was traveling routine with no lights or sirens activated at the time. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
Both were wearing their seatbelts.
