(KNSI) – Thanksgiving means St. Cloud city services are not offered this Thursday, changing the garbage and recycling pickup schedule.

This is a green week in regards to recycling. Thursday’s zone is in the northwestern portion of the city, a triangle bordered by the Sauk River, 73rd Avenue, and County Road 120. Trash service on Thursdays also extends east past the Municipal Athletic Complex and St. Cloud VA Medical Center to Highway 15. It then arches above 13th Street North, covering a zone that goes to the St. Cloud-Sartell border, including Whitney Park. Finally, it dips into the Hester Park neighborhood.

Both routes will be picked up on Monday, December 2nd. With yard waste collection wrapped up, trash and recycling trucks rumble through neighborhoods Tuesday through Friday on most weeks, altered only by major holidays.
