(KNSI) – Stearns County Parks Department is hoping for a little more snow when it’s time for the 2025 Moonlight Ski.

Due to an unseasonably warm winter, last year’s event was converted into a hike, but you should plan on having planks and poles with you on Friday, January 3rd, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Carve your way through champagne powder at Quarry Park in Waite Park. Volunteers from the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota will put down luminaries across 4.2 miles of trails. You pass bonfires offering the perfect opportunity to socialize over s’mores, cookies, and hot chocolate.

Parking and skiing are free. More information is here.
