(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has received the highest possible accreditation.
The designation is determined by a committee made up of several members of the U.S. Chamber, the national parent organization that oversees local and state groups. All local chambers are graded on a four-tier scale. They can be ‘Accredited’ or ranked between three and five stars.
Besides St. Cloud, only one other Minnesota chamber has a five-star status. Nationwide, there are only 194. St. Cloud was chosen due to the impact it has on the city and region, transparent governance with strict financial controls, and the creation of valuable programming.
The U.S. Chamber undertakes the accreditation process to ensure that the business community is receiving effective support at all levels. Each chamber is tasked with fostering a pro-business environment.
St. Cloud Area Chamber President Julie Lunning says, “I couldn’t be more proud of our team and our dedicated members. This achievement is a testament to our members’ hard work, unwavering commitment, and passion for strengthening our business community.”
