(KNSI) – The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says it couldn’t determine what caused an apparent explosion just north of Dassel Sunday.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says their dispatch center got two calls from people about 5:40 p.m. saying they heard an explosion and saw smoke and fire coming from the west side of Big Swan Lake. Deputies went to one house where they found a controlled burn happening and asked about the explosion. The property owner told police he too heard the explosion but said it sounded like it came from an area west of them.
Deputies continued investigating, but they say they were unable to determine where the explosion happened or why.
