(KNSI) — November 14th is National Pickle Day, and to celebrate, Casey’s is rolling out a brand new pizza inspired by a Midwestern holiday and potluck staple.
The Pickle Wrap Pizza is the brainchild of St. Cloud District Manager Andrew Cairl. Caril is from Sauk Rapids, where his home store is located.
It starts with Casey’s made from scratch dough. On top of that is Philadelphia brand whipped cream cheese spread, chopped ham and a twist — bacon, “because everything is better with bacon,” says Caril. Then it’s piled with shredded mozzarella and shredded cheddar cheese and finally thick cut pickles.
