(KNSI) – A new foundation organized by St. Cloud Financial Credit Union aims to help families strained by medical debt from a terminal illness.

TriUnity Foundation’s self-described mission is to remove financial hardship from the equation and allow those who are facing death to focus on relationships and “the beauty of life itself.” Board Chair LeAnn Case is excited to get going. “Everyone here at this credit union wants to dig in and make a meaningful difference. This foundation was created because they saw a need that not a lot of organizations were touching.”

The foundation is reaching out to other credit unions and corporations to try and create partnerships. It also is hoping Give to the Max Day on the 21st is a springboard. Early individual donations are already being accepted.

TriUnity Foundation has scheduled a launch event in Waite Park at the Park Event Center next March. The Light The Way Gala will illuminate all of the situations where the organization can make a difference. It promises more details soon.

SCFCU President Jed Meyer says, “TriUnity allows us to reach beyond traditional financial services and support our members in their greatest time of need. This foundation is a reflection of our commitment to strengthening our community in every way we can.”
