Salute to Service: Freebies and Deals for Veterans Day

(KNSI) — Veterans and active duty military personnel can eat and sip their way through the day Monday with various freebies and deals around town. This is by no means a complete list. These deals may be subject to verification, at participating locations only and valid ID may be required.

Applebees – Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free meal from a select menu. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s (Monticello) – One complimentary meal up to $12 in value when dining in and buying an additional entree.

Buffalo Wild Wings – Enjoy ten free boneless wings and fries at Buffalo Wild Wings, available for dine-in or for walk-in counter orders at Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations only. All past and present armed services members (with valid ID) can participate.

Casey’s General Store – Veterans and active duty military members can get a free cup of coffee or fountain drink. Proof of service is required.

Chick-fil-A – Offers and specials may vary by location, so double-check local restaurant participation.

Chili’s Grill & Bar – Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free meal from a select menu for dine-in at participating locations. Bring a valid military ID or proof of service; availability for spouses and dependents may vary by location.

Crew Car Wash – FREE Ultimate Washes to all veterans and active duty service members from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Crooked Pint Ale House – Veterans and active-duty members can get a free classic Lucy, bourbon cranberry salad, chicken pot pie, or hog heaven.

Dairy Queen – Veterans and active duty military personnel can get one complimentary item. Participating locations only.

Dunkin’ – Veterans can get a free donut.

Firehouse Subs – Veterans and active-duty military can get a free combo. Stop by any location to enjoy a medium sub, chips or a cookie, and a drink.

Freddy’s – Veterans and military personnel who stop by a participating Freddy’s location can receive a meal card for a free combo meal, with no purchase needed. The meal card is valid through December 31st, 2024.

Granite City Food & Brewery – Veterans get a free lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from a special menu. When ordering online, use code ‘VETERANS24’ to receive the discount. Not valid for call-in orders or delivery. Proof of service required.

Green Mill – All active duty military and veterans can choose from a Small 2-topping Deep Dish Pizza, Desert Fire Pasta, Millhouse Club, or Cobb Salad with Chicken. Available for dine-in customers only and does not include beverages or gratuity. Verify location participation in advance. Must present valid proof of service.

IHOP – Veterans and active-duty military (with valid military ID or proof of service), can enjoy free Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes. This offer is available at participating locations for dine-in only, one per guest.

Insomnia Cookies – Veterans and retired military get a free Deluxe cookie in-store with $5 purchase.

Jet’s Pizza – Veterans, retirees, and active duty military personnel can take advantage of a Mix n Match deal with an online code of MX2. This deal is for pick-up orders only and can’t be used for online orders. A valid military ID is required.

Olive Garden – Veterans and active duty military can get a free entree with a valid Military ID.

Panera Bread – Veterans and active duty military personnel can get a free breakfast item and coffee. Participating locations only.

Red Lobster – Veterans can get a free printed meal voucher for Shrimp & Chips, French Fries and Coleslaw from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Guests must show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem.

Red Robin – Veterans and active-duty military will get a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger. This popular burger also comes with endless refills of Bottomless Steak Fries.

Scooters Coffee – Veterans and military members get a free handcrafted beverage. With a valid military ID, choose from a wide selection of hot or cold beverages.

Starbucks – Veterans, active duty service members and their spouses receive a free tall hot or iced coffee.

Stearns County – The Parks Department is offering free parking for veterans.

Taco John’s – Veterans and active duty military members, along with retired and honorably discharged servicemembers can get a free small beef #1 combo meal available through the Taco John’s app.

Texas Roadhouse – Veterans can get a free dine-in or carry-out meal voucher to from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., redeemable through May 30th, 2025. A valid Military ID or proof of service is required.

Wendy’s – Veterans can get one free small breakfast combo.
