(KNSI) – A Pennsylvania company that sells brie cheese under the Aldi brand is recalling several products due to potential listeria contamination.
Savencia Cheese USA says brie and camembert marketed using the Emporium Selection, La Bonne Vie, Market Basket, and Supreme labels are also part of the voluntary alert. They are sold with limited regional distribution in a fraction of the country and are likely to be found in somewhere other than central Minnesota.
The sell-by date for all varieties is 12/24/2024. Savencia tells the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that there are no confirmed cases of people getting sick from eating the cheeses, but testing at its manufacturing plant showed that some of the processing equipment may have been contaminated.
You can return the product to the store where you bought it for a full refund. Click here to see the affected cheese’s UPC codes.
