(KNSI) – Riverside Park will once again turn into an autumnal wonderland Friday.
This time, it’s called Parktober Fest, which St. Cloud Park and Recreation Programmer Cassie Woischke believes helps differentiate it from other area events named Fall Fest or something similar. Given its spot on the calendar, Halloween is covered, too.
Woischke encourages children to dress up in costume, and there will be opportunities to trick-or-treat. A pumpkin patch will be set up, and children can paint the gourds they pick.
For those who want fall to be in the spotlight, not only will they be surrounded by changing leaves, but a petting zoo and festive games are scheduled. Organizers are promising fun for the whole family.
Parktober Fest is free, and no registration is required. It starts at 3:00 p.m.
