(KNSI) – Two men are in critical condition following an alleged assault Sunday afternoon in Benton County.
Deputies were called to a home on 95th Avenue NE in Gilmanton Township at about 4:45, where they found a man shot in the neck and another in the gut. They were rushed to CentraCare — St. Cloud Hospital. No details were given on what led to the incident, but a suspect has been arrested and is in the Benton County Jail.
According to Sheriff Troy Heck, the investigation is still active and ongoing, but there is no continuing threat to the public. Once the family is notified, the victims’ names and more information about the incident will be provided.
