Benton County Investigating Double Shooting Sunday Afternoon North of Foley

(KNSI) – The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting in Gilmanton Township Sunday afternoon.

According to a press release, around 4:45, deputies responded to the house after a 911 call for two people who had been shot, and the suspect was still in the area. Upon arrival, officers found the victims – one had a gunshot wound to the neck, and the had been shot in the abdomen. Both were rushed to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital, where they remain in critical condition. The suspect was found a short time after deputies arrived and taken to Benton County Jail and will remain in custody until his initial court appearance.

The investigation is ongoing.
