(KNSI) – Starting Friday, a beer made for a beloved St. Cloud area businessman and philanthropist will be available in stores and taprooms for a limited time.
Bob Feuling Brown Ale is back for the third year in a row. Feuling was the founder and owner of Westside Liquors. He died in February 2022 at 86. The beer is the brainchild of longtime Westside employee Myron Kottschade and Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake.
Four packs of the beer go on sale at all eight Westside Liquor locations. The beer will also be on tap at Boulder Taphouse in St. Cloud, Shattuck’s Hub Supper Club in Burtrum, H.R. Pesty’s in Waite Park, Lucky’s Saloon in Swanville, Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake and Pioneer Place on Fifth in St. Cloud.
As much as Bob was known for owning and operating successful liquor stores, he was also known to many as a man who loved and cared for the people around him, his employees, and their families, treating them like family, too. His son Rick tells KNSI News that throughout his whole life, he lost count of the people who told him they saw Bob as a second father to them. Rick says his dad had a deep faith in people and truly cared. He added anyone who showed up on the doorstep and asked for help; his dad was glad to give it.
A portion of the proceeds from the beer will go to support March of Dimes.
