October Dog Walker Watch Meeting To Feature Live Canine Demonstration

(KNSI) – There will be a live canine officer demonstration at October’s St. Cloud Police Department Dog Walker Watch meeting.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on October 29th at the SCPD Headquarters on 11th Avenue North. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. A link is here.

Organizers ask that you leave the dogs at home for this, but all human beings, including friends and family, are welcome. The Dog Walker Watch was launched this spring in St. Cloud.

The program’s goal is to enlist people taking their pets for a stroll to act as eyes and ears in their neighborhood against suspicious activity. It helps teach members how to recognize potential problems and who they should go to, whether that’s law enforcement or city workers, to resolve the issues.
