(KNSI) – Get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the oldest companies in Sartell.

DeZURIK Manufacturing will open its doors for public tours on Wednesday, October 2nd. People can stop by anytime between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. for a free look at its manufacturing process, from receiving to machining to assembly, painting and what it takes to get their products out the door and to the customer.

DeZURIK started in 1928 after the nearby paper mill had a problem with tree resin buildup on its valves. Matt DeZurik designed a valve to alleviate the issue, and it worked like a charm. It was immediately sought after by other paper mills, and DeZurik had a hit on his hands. The company now manufactures valves for water treatment, sewage treatment, water distribution, pulp and paper, oil and gas downstream and petrochemical, mining, power, hydropower dams, and other process industries.
