Waite Park Police to Host Coffee with a Cop Event at Cash Wise

(KNSI)—National Coffee with a Cop Day is next week, and a local police department is hosting an event in honor of it.

The Waite Park Police Department will be at Cash Wise in Waite Park’s deli area on October 2nd. The public is invited to come have a cup and talk with officers.

The event goes from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

National Coffee with a Cop Day is a day dedicated to encouraging communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public. The day began as part of National Community Policing Week in 2016 and now continues each year on the first Wednesday in October, furthering efforts nationwide to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement agencies.
