(KNSI) – Minneapolis police are asking for help finding a three-year-old girl taken by a homeless woman.
Officials say Alliyah Evans went missing around noon on Sunday. Investigators say the toddler was left by her mother with a homeless acquaintance outside the Target store at 2500 Lake Street East in Minneapolis while her mother went inside. The acquaintance left with the child without the mother’s permission. Alliyah is 3’5″ and weighs 35 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, a white t-shirt and black jeans.
The homeless woman’s name and whereabouts are unknown. She is described as 32 years old and was last seen wearing a tie-dye shirt and gray leggings. Evans is not believed to be in danger, but her mother is concerned for her welfare and would like Evans returned.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
