Controlled Burn Underway in Quarry on West End of St. Cloud

(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Fire Department says the public should be aware of a controlled burn taking place on the far west end of town.

The burn is in a brush pile in the quarry around the 3600 block of West St. Germain Street. Firefighters and other trained personnel and machinery are on-site to actively manage the fires, ensuring the burn is conducted safely and in accordance with the permit. The permit is in effect until September 20th.

Fire officials say everything is being closely monitored.
