(KNSI) — One person is dead after an apparent gas explosion inside a fish house.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says a 911 call came in just before 7:00 Saturday morning at a home near Dassel for a man who had suffered severe burns over a significant portion of his body. He was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center’s burn unit where he later died.
Authorities identified the man as 46-year-old Jeffrey Holmquist.
The State Fire Marshall responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
