(KNSI) – The Paramount Center for the Arts will unveil murals on Tuesday, September 3rd, that will eventually be installed at area shelters.

The works were commissioned in August 2023 thanks to a Central Minnesota Community Foundation grant. The murals, which are untitled, were created by artist Hibaaq Ibrahim.

Right now, they are black and white. They’ll be hung at Anna Marie’s Alliance and Pathways4Youth, where the murals will be colored in over time.

The unveiling ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. Everyone can attend and there is no cost. The theater/gallery is located at 10th Avenue and West St. Germain Street.

Paramount says another project has received funding, and the planning phase for completing it is ongoing. The “Your Life in Color” program connects a local artist with organizations that help youth who are homeless or suffering from domestic violence.
