(KNSI) – Work on the sprawling University Drive construction project in St. Cloud moves west today.
Crews are beginning to repave the road using mill and overlay between 9th Avenue South and County Road 75/Roosevelt Road. Traffic is being reduced to one lane in either direction and many of the traffic lights will be reprogrammed into four-way stops using a flashing red pattern.
Major delays are expected and drivers are advised to find an alternate route. No detours are set to be posted.
The new phase of the $10-million-plus project will remain in effect until at least mid-September.
