(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has added more central Minnesota counties to a severe thunderstorm watch issued Wednesday.
The watch now includes Benton, Kandiyohi, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright counties. The watch is in effect until 7:00 p.m.
A watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to form. Storms may include heavy rain. frequent lightning, high winds over 58 miles an hour, and/or hail at least one inch in diameter. It can also spawn tornadoes.
