(KNSI) – A 3-D archery shoot this weekend means a popular Stearns County park is closed to the public.
Mississippi River County Park will be off-limits for anyone without a bow and arrow between noon on Friday and 10:00 p.m. on Sunday. There is one exception, access to the boat landing will be availible during those times.
For a fee of $25 per person, teams of up to four can navigate a course featuring dozens of realistic targets resembling deer, elk, bear and other animals. No crossbows are allowed. Organizers say it’s a great way to gear up for hunting season.
The Great River Archery Club puts on the shoot. They host a weekly event at Mississippi River County Park on Thursday evenings through the summer. For more information, click here.
