(KNSI) –
A 61-year-old Zimmerman woman is under arrest after she allegedly unleashed a barrage of gunshots at a man who was inside a vehicle in her driveway Thursday morning.
A press release from the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office says everything unfolded around 7:30 when she shot up the vehicle with her .22 revolver. She then retreated into her Baldwin Township home and began a stand-off with sheriff’s deputies and officers from the Big Lake and Elk River Police Departments. She surrendered at about 11:10 a.m.
The man was not hurt. It’s not clear if the two knew each other.
The woman was taken to the hospital for a competency examination and has been booked into the Sherburne County Jail pending second-degree assault charges.
