(KNSI) – A Paynesville restaurant has reopened after its roof was damaged by a fire Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the Hilltop Restaurant off Highway 55 at around 9:45, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. A press release says the restaurant was getting a new rubber roof, and a torch was being used to join two areas. Damage was minimized thanks to quick thinking by witnesses who used two fire extinguishers to try to contain the blaze until firefighters arrived.
After some clean up, the restaurant reopened Wednesday morning at its normal time. No one was hurt.
