(KNSI) — A 21-year-old Montrose man who was allegedly fleeing from police on Highway 10 in a truck stolen out of St. Cloud is accused of causing a major crash that seriously injured one person in a parking lot in Becker.

Investigators say about 3:15 Saturday afternoon, a Sherburne County Sheriff’s Deputy was trying to stop the driver in a Dodge Ram, when the suspect crashed into multiple vehicles at the intersection of Highway 10 and Liberty Lane, before driving off the road to the right, and hitting a Subaru Outback that was in a gas station parking lot. The 36-year-old driver in one of the cars was airlifted to North Memorial with life-threatening injuries. The suspect and another driver were also hurt.

A small dog in the truck went missing after the crash, but she was found safe.
