(KNSI) — Two teens are dead, and another is fighting for their life after a crash on Highway 25 early Saturday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol’s crash report, a Big Lake police officer was heading south on 25 near Tarrytown Road at around 2:45 when they saw a BMW 535 heading north at a high rate of speed. The officer turned around to make a traffic stop when they came across the wrecked car. It appears the driver, 17-year-old Donovan Gobel, ran off the road to the right and then the car rolled.

Gobel was killed, as was his passenger Anthony Krider, also 17. Seventeen-year-old Charles Gabrelcik was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. All three were from Elk River and were all wearing their seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation.
