(KNSI) — Three teenagers were hurt following a crash in Wakefield Township Wednesday evening.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department, the teens were in a pickup truck heading east on Red Cedar Road and were approaching a curve when the driver crossed the center line, went off the road, hit a tree, and came to rest in a wooded area.

Eighteen-year-old Gabriel Borgen of St. Augusta and Cecelia Woods, also 18, of Richmond, both had minor injuries. Nineteen-year-old Merideth Theis of Cold Spring was taken to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The press release does not say who was driving the truck but did say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
