(KNSI) – The head of one of the area’s most famous families will be the grand marshal at this year’s St. Cloud Granite City Days parade.

The Bernicks are famous for charitable efforts within the community. A foundation was set up in 1989. It gives $20,000 in scholarships per year to high school seniors. Its primary areas of focus are youth and education, and health and fitness.
See Lila, the marching bands, and floats this Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. The route starts at Hester Park, moves south on 6th Avenue, and then turns onto West St. Germain Street. It finishes at the Great River Regional Library Main Branch.
