(KNSI) – A professional BMX racer from St. Cloud will make her fourth appearance in the Olympics next month.
Alise Willoughby will pedal for Team USA’s BMX squad in Paris, France. The 33-year-old competed on the world stage in London, England, in 2012. She returned in 2016, won a silver medal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and was a member of the 2020 team in Tokyo.
According to her biography, Willoughby’s family is the driving force behind Pineview Park BMX in St. Cloud, which transformed a vandalized city park into one of the top BMX facilities in the country. She also founded the annual MS Race for a Cure at her home track to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis.
