(KNSI) – A local charity is holding a 5K race this September to raise funds to support local cancer warriors.
The INDY Foundation, which stands for I’m Not Done Yet, helps those being treated for cancer by donating backpack kits filled with useful supplies during trying chemotherapy sessions. The group helps pay off emergency bills and even organizes relaxing retreats at Grand View Lodge to help recharge.
The event is scheduled for the morning of September 14th at 9:30. It will be held at the parking lot of Little Saints Academy in St. Joseph. It’s a family-friendly event. In addition to the 5K distance, younger kids will have an opportunity to cover one kilometer. Running and walking are both allowed.
St. Cloud Toyota sponsors the fundraiser. At noon, Bad Habit Brewing will host an afterparty. The festivities will include live music, kids’ activities, snacks, and more.
