(KNSI) – Stearns County residents are having trouble remembering to buy tabs for their vehicles, but it’s not their fault.
Officials have been receiving many phone calls about the issue and wanted to let people know the state mailed vehicle registration renewal notices later than usual this month.
Drivers whose registration expires in June will receive their notices within the next few days. Renewal notices are usually mailed around the 17th of the month, but the state did not send them until May 28th.
Customers with a June expiration should renew their registration as usual.
