(KNSI) – A St. Cloud man is accused of raping a teenage girl.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim left home on Sunday night and had been sitting near Lake George under the 9th Avenue Bridge, where she was approached by a man, later identified as Austin Nathaniel Ouellette.
She says he asked if she had a cigarette and asked her to come with him. The two are seen together on city surveillance at the locations the victim described. They walked to a nearby home and then to the 26-year-old man’s house in the 600 block of 9th Avenue South.
The 14-year-old says they went to Ouellette’s bedroom to watch a scary movie. According to court records, after the movie, he got on top of the teen and started kissing her. The victim said Ouellette told her if she said anything, he would hurt her or her family.
Ouellette allegedly removed the girl’s clothing and raped her. After the alleged sexual assault, the child was able to flee the home and went to a relative’s house. She was then rushed to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital to be examined.
According to court records, during a Mirandized statement, Ouellette admitted meeting the victim and said he had sex with her.
He is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors have filed a motion to seek an aggravated sentence. This would allow the state to give him an extended prison sentence if convicted.
