(KNSI) — The City of Waite Park has closed 2nd Avenue South to northbound traffic effective immediately due to a water main break.
Northbound traffic on 2nd Avenue South between 3rd Street South and 2nd Street South/Highway 23 is being rerouted. Southbound traffic is single lane only. The break was announced around 10:30 on Thursday morning. Officials haven’t said what led to the rupture.
The road will be closed until the work is done, which could take up to six hours, so city officials are asking drivers to please plan accordingly.
