(KNSI) — Veterans unsure about healthcare or benefits related to exposure to burn pits, Agent Orange, or other toxins are invited to a free PACT Act Claims Clinic.

The clinic is a chance to get help with disability compensation claims and VA healthcare enrollment, get screened for toxic exposure, start a new claim, ask about existing claims, get help moving a claim forward and learn more about the PACT Act, including what it does, what qualifies as toxic exposure and how it affects healthcare and benefits.

VA representatives and local Veteran Service Officers will be on-site to answer questions and help guide veterans through the process.

The clinic is Thursday, May 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Stearns County Service Center in Waite Park. Appointments are recommended, and they can be made by calling 320-255-6340. Walk-ins are also welcome. Please bring a copy of the DD-214 and any recent claim correspondence about which there may be questions.

The PACT Act, passed in 2022, provides veterans exposed to toxins with the support and benefits they deserve. This clinic is here to help you understand your eligibility and access those benefits.
