(KNSI) – If you didn’t get out on the water over the opener because you don’t have a boat, Stearns County has several options to land a lunker from land.
The county offers fishing piers at Lake Koronis Regional Park, Lake Sylvia Wayside, Two Rivers Lake County Park and Warner Lake County Park. Officials say some spots offer excellent shore fishing opportunities, including the Clearwater River Canoe Access, Heims Mill Canoe Access, Miller Landing, Mississippi River County Park, Rockville County Park, Spring Hill County Park, St. Martin Canoe Access and Upper Spunk Lake Park.
Anglers can always try their luck at Quarry Parks pools. Several have been stocked with rainbow trout, and the sites mark those quarries with a fishing icon on their maps.
