(KNSI) – The third annual St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week gets off to a tasty start Monday.
Calling all those with a sweet tooth for confections day. Visit St. Cloud Executive Director Rachel Thompson says every option is a good one, but she was willing to give KNSI News a can’t-miss recommendation.
“Central Grind Coffeehouse has their caramel crisp popcorn, and it’s back. You might remember it on the east side as a standalone building with Caramel Crisp Popcorn and Subs. They have reopened and brought it back to Central Grind Coffee House and that’s out in St. Augusta.”
Thompson says you get a history lesson and a delicious bite to eat. Several coffee houses jumped at the confection category. You’ll have a chance to start munching early in the day. Thompson lists some of them, “Take a look at Copper Pony offering their salted honey pistachio cookie. District Coffee Shop, they’re one of the only places in the area that offer crepes, and they do a fantastic job. They’ve got flavors like banana and chocolate, strawberry and chocolate, cinnamon sugar and butter, and then an interesting one, which is blueberry basil and lemon zest.”
Also add in St. Joseph’s The Local Blend and their blueberry scones.
