(KNSI) – Enjoy Mexico in St. Cloud over the Cinco de Mayo weekend.
Bravo Burrito co-owner Mike Lardy told KNSI News they’ve had record-breaking days on Cinco de Mayo over the years, and they expect it to be busy again this year since the holiday falls on a Sunday, but there’s a friendly wager between he and his co-owner wife, Sam. “We basically have a bet going. She thinks that it’s going to be busier on Saturday the fourth and I think it’s going to be busy here on Sunday the fifth but we don’t know. It might just be a busy weekend in general.”
Regardless, Lardy is looking forward to the party. “Typically here in America, Cinco de Mayo is like St. Patrick’s Day kind of a drinking holiday, so we’ll be focusing on our upgraded Margarita menu.”
The restaurant is featuring its new jumbo Margarita with top-shelf tequila, but they’ve also elevated their middle-line Margarita, the Brav, by putting it in a bigger glass and improving the recipe.
Along with the drinks, the popular Cinco de Mayo bowl is making a comeback. Your choice of meat is topped with black beans, rice, queso, salsa, and a garnish of cilantro.
Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican Army’s victory over France in the battle of Puebla in 1862.
