(KNSI) – The Tri-County Humane Society is getting to wag its tail and party for a good cause.

The St. Cloud-based animal shelter is replacing one of its largest fundraisers with a new one, for a little while at least. Executive Director Marit Ortega explained the change to KNSI News. “In place of our Wine, Kibbles and Bids, it’s our 50th anniversary this year. And so, we are rebranding the event for one year only. It’s the 50th Anniversary Gala.”

The event is May 2nd at Harvester Square in east St. Cloud. Ortega gave KNSI a sneak peek of what will take place. “There will be wine tasting and other beverage tastings from Coburn’s liquor. We’ve got a wonderful silent auction and raffle. There’s live music. We’re going to have puppies and kitties there. Of course. It’s just a beautiful evening with friends of animals.”

The organization will highlight the Humane Society’s work over the last five decades and discuss what they’re experiencing now and what’s to come. It will also update the 94 cats recently taken in from a home in Crosby.

Tickets are $85 each and are only available through Monday. Get your pass to the event by clicking here.
