(KNSI) – A man was injured during an officer-involved shooting in Montrose Monday afternoon.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says the man was wanted on outstanding warrants and he was spotted about 1:00 walking out of a store. He refused to surrender and allegedly pulled out a firearm. A press release says deputies tried to use non-lethal measures to take him into custody, but they were unsuccessful.
Eventually, a deputy shot the man, who was taken to a hospital for treatment. It has not been revealed how serious his injuries are.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
