(KNSI) — The City of St. Cloud is asking residents to remember the State Farm jingle and, like a good neighbor, be there for others.

The city has been walloped with over 16 inches of snow since Friday. City crews have been out for the last several days clearing snow from the streets, and anyone who has ever finished clearing their driveway only to have the plow roll by and create a snow berm half an hour later knows how heavy that can be. Moving all of that can be too much for older people or people with disabilities.

St. Cloud’s Public Works Department has received multiple requests for staff to come back and move the snow pushed into the end of the driveways. The city can’t do this. It’s the homeowner’s responsibility.

While crews work on keeping the roads open, the community can help one another, especially those who might have difficulty.

If you have questions about snow removal, contact Public Works at (320) 650-2900.
